Hi! I’m Irene Kuperus, a Grand Valley Film & Video senior specializing in video editing! My love for filmmaking started early—forcing my dad and cousins into recording scrappy skits on my home computer. That early excitement never faded. Over the years, I’ve honed my technical skills through hands-on experience, editing promotional content for GVSU’s clients, and university initiatives at the Promotions Office. As an intern at Ideology Productions, I’ve worked on assembling and refining edits to bring client projects to life. Beyond that, working as a teaching assistant for media students deepened my love for sharing knowledge and collaborating with others.

What I love most about this field is the storytelling. Every day in this industry reminds me that the younger me was right—work doesn’t feel like work when you love what you do. As I continue growing in this field, I’m excited to take on projects that challenge me, connect me with talented creatives, and keep me fully immersed in genuine storytelling. Looking ahead, I’m eager to keep growing as an editor—working with clients, collaborating on commercial projects, and refining my craft in a field that continues to inspire me every day.
